     Bornhoft Concrete Inc. has a long standing tradition of excellence serving the concrete industry in Southwest Minnesota since it's founding in 1916 with over 90 years of commitment and quality.  We have a full complement of equipment of 30 mixers and people ready and willing to serve you with over 400 years of experience.  We are very familiar with commercial specifications along with service requirements that go along with the delivery of the product. 

     We have supplied numerous Minnesota DOT and county bridges, Southwest Minnesota State University projects, The Schwan Food Company supplier since 1986, Super WalMart, ADM, wastewater and water treatment plants and street projects.  We have Minnesota State certified batch plants, materials and computerized batching.  We also have been the supplier to over 550 windmills on the Buffalo Ridge since 1994.

Important Dates in our history include:
1916  Founded by Jens Jasperson, grandfather of John Bornhoft
1916  Concrete block forms used
1917  First drain tile production machine purchased 6" = .03 cents each
1922  Building silo from blocks
1924  Silo stave machine purchased
1940  1941 New block machine  .16 cents 800 day production
1952  Ready Mix started with 2 - 2 1/2 yard trucks
1954  Silo Construction was discontinued
1669  Mel Bornhoft (John's Dad) becomes full owner
1975  John Bornhoft purchases 50% of business
1978  First cement shortage
1980  Two-Way radios installed in trucks
1983  New batch plant installed in Tyler
1984  Discontinued production of concrete drain tile
1985  Stewart Concrete in Balaton was purchased by Bornhoft
1986  John Bornhoft purchases 100% of Tyler plant
1986  Deutz & Crow Marshall purchase
           David L. Meulebroeck - John Bornhoft
1998  Pipestone plant is built for 38,000 yard windmill project.
